Through Sagicc, you can receive and send messages through the WhatsApp messaging application. You can also implement conversational and/or transactional assistants, and send notifications to your customers on behalf of the company to initiate or resume conversations (subject to authorization process by WhatsApp and Meta).
To configure and operate a WhatsApp channel, you must have contracted the WhatsApp Business API service with Sagicc or some other WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP) approved by WhatsApp. Messages sent using Sagicc as the provider of the WhatsApp Business API will have an additional cost defined in the contract.
To use WhatsApp and the WhatsApp Business API service, it is necessary to strictly comply with the policies and terms of use specified by WhatsApp and Meta. Check them here: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-policy/
WhatsApp Business API
The WhatsApp Business API is a tool that Meta makes available to medium to large companies so they can connect with their customers on a large scale. Through the APIs, companies can connect a large number of agents and bots to interact with their customers manually or automatically. This tool is much more complex than other WhatsApp products since it does not have an application or user interface, and it must be integrated with business software, such as Sagicc, to be used.
To access the WhatsApp Business API, it is necessary to go through an approval process with WhatsApp and Meta, where they will evaluate whether your company meets the necessary conditions to access the API or not. Some of the conditions evaluated are the number of customers the company expects to serve through WhatsApp, the company's presence on Facebook and Instagram, the sector and economic activity of the company, etc. The Sagicc implementation team will guide you through this process.
Connecting WhatsApp Business API account with Sagicc
Once your company has access to the WhatsApp Business API and an active WhatsApp Business account, you can connect this account with Sagicc. The information required for configuring a WhatsApp channel is provided by the provider (or by Sagicc) and includes:
Country Code: Corresponds to the country code for phone numbers. For Colombia, it is 57, for the United States, it is 1, for Peru, it is 51, for Mexico, it is 52, etc.
Phone Number: It is the phone number associated with the WhatsApp Business API account.
Channel ID
Access Key
Waba ID
Namespace ID
If your company has contracted the WhatsApp Business API service with a provider other than Sagicc, it is possible to develop an integration with that provider. Consult with the Sagicc commercial advisor about the possibility of purchasing an engineering hours package to develop the integration between the provider and our platform.
