Telegram Channel Configuration

Sagicc will be able to connect with a bot account on the Telegram platform to receive and send messages to customers using this messaging platform. Before adding a channel of this type, you must create a bot on Telegram using the BotFather assistant (BotFather). This assistant will help you create a new bot service on Telegram and provide you with the necessary data for integration with Sagicc.

BotFather

When you start a conversation with the BotFather assistant, it will guide you through the process. Type the /newbot command to request the creation of a new Telegram bot.

Open

As a first step, BotFather will ask you for a name for the new Telegram bot. Specify a name that allows it to be related to your company and/or the purpose of the bot. For this example, we have selected the name sagicc_prueba_1.

Open

As a second step, BotFather will ask you for a username for the new Telegram bot. This username must end with the word "bot" and will be used by your customers to contact your company through Telegram (accessing the URL Telegram: Contact @bot_username ). For this example, we have selected the username sagicc_prueba_1_bot.

Finally, BotFather will confirm the creation of the new Telegram bot and provide the necessary data for integration with Sagicc.

Connecting a Telegram bot with Sagicc

Once the process of creating the Telegram bot with the BotFather assistant is complete, you can connect this bot with your Sagicc instance. The information required for the configuration of a Telegram channel is as follows:

• Bot Token: A text string in the form 123456:ABC-DEF1234ghIkl-zyx57W2v1u123ew1, provided by BotFather.

  Bot Name: Name of the bot specified to BotFather.

Once the channel and attention campaign are configured, you can start receiving interactions through Telegram and manage communications on this messaging platform with Sagicc. In the conversation of tickets created from Telegram interactions, you can view incoming and outgoing messages.
