The Advanced WhatsApp Templates section will allow you to configure templates for WhatsApp with advanced elements such as buttons, lists, or multimedia content. This way, your agents will be able to respond to requests that your company receives through WhatsApp using more user-friendly templates. If you selected the Session Message option as the Message Type when setting up your WhatsApp template, you can use this tool.
Advanced WhatsApp templates can only be used with WhatsApp channels whose API provider is Sagicc and its partner provider. If the company has its own provider, it will not be possible to send these advanced templates through WhatsApp.
There are several types of advanced templates:
Text: Allows creating simple templates with a message in text format. By selecting this type of template, you will be able to specify the following parameters:
Message: It is the body or content of the template. This message can include Sagicc variables, emojis, or special characters to format the text (_text_ for italic, *text* for bold, ~text~ for
strikethroughand ```text``` for monospace).
Multimedia: Allows creating templates with multimedia content and a text in the form of a caption accompanying the multimedia content. By selecting this type of template, you will be able to specify the following parameters:
Media Type: Specifies whether the multimedia element is of type IMAGE, AUDIO, VIDEO, or DOCUMENT.
Media File: Select or drag the multimedia file you wish to add to the template. Keep in mind that the format of the selected file must match the selected media type.
Media Caption: It is the text or caption that will accompany the multimedia content of the template.
Interactive: Allows creating templates with interactive visual elements, such as quick response buttons or a selection list of options. Additionally, it can include elements such as a header or footer, accompanying the message and interactive elements. By selecting this type of template, you will be able to specify the following parameters:
Type: Specifies whether the template will have interactive QUICK RESPONSE BUTTONS or an interactive LIST of options.
Header Type: Specifies the type of header of the template, whether TEXT, IMAGE, DOCUMENT, VIDEO, or NONE.
Header Text: In case the selected header type is TEXT, it specifies the content of the header of the template.
Header Media File: In case the selected header type is IMAGE, DOCUMENT, or VIDEO, select or drag the multimedia file you wish to add to the header. Keep in mind that the format of the selected file must match the selected header type.
Message: Is the body or content of the template. This message can include Sagicc variables, emojis, or special characters to format the text (_text_ for italic, *text* for bold, ~text~ for
strikethroughand ```text``` for monospace).Footer: Specifies the footer of the template.
Quick Response Buttons: Allows configuring the interactive quick response buttons of the template. The template can contain a maximum of 3 quick response buttons.
Interactive List: Allows configuring a list with up to 10 options to select, grouped into sections.
The interactive list can be composed of one or more sections, and can contain multiple options formed by a title and a description. It is possible to add a maximum of 10 options, distributed among one or more sections.
Product: Allows you to create templates for sending products associated with your WhatsApp account that have been previously created in Meta's Commerce Manager (https://business.facebook.com/commerce). By selecting this type of template, you can specify the following parameters:
Catalog ID: Specify the identifier of the catalog containing the product you want to send. You can find this identifier in Meta's Commerce Manager.
Product ID: Specify the unique identifier of the product you want to send. You can find this information in Meta's Commerce Manager.
Message: This is the body or content that will accompany the product being sent. This message can include Sagicc variables, emojis, or special characters to format the text (_text_ for italics, *text* for bold,
textfor strikethrough, andtext
for monospace).
Remember that you must configure the catalog and its products beforehand from Meta's Commerce Manager. Also, remember that the catalog must be associated with the WhatsApp Business account connected to Sagicc. Find more information at the following links:
