Sagicc will be able to connect to your company's Facebook page to capture and respond to all messages that your customers send to the page through the Facebook Messenger platform. It will also be able to capture and respond to posts and comments that your customers make directly on the page, and capture marketing leads/prospects through Facebook forms and ads. To set up such a channel, you must have the credentials (email and password) of the personal Facebook account that manages the page you want to connect with Sagicc.

When setting up a Facebook channel, you will see the "Log in with Facebook" button. For the configuration of the channel and its subsequent operation, Sagicc requires connection to your Facebook account to obtain basic information about the pages and generate access tokens that will allow Sagicc to capture and respond to messages that arrive on the page through Facebook Messenger or posts made on the page. Click on the "Log in with Facebook" button.

 

A new tab will open and take you to the official Facebook login page. Enter the email and password that you normally use to access and click "Log In".

 

 

Sagicc will not store the information provided by the user, i.e., the email and password to log in to Facebook. It will also not store information related to the personal account, as Sagicc only connects and captures information from pages.

 

Next, Facebook will request authorization to continue since Sagicc is attempting to connect to your account. You can read Sagicc's Privacy Policy and/or Terms of Use if you have any doubts about them. Click "Continue as [Your Name]".

 

Facebook will indicate that Sagicc wants to connect to the pages associated with your user. Select the page or pages you want to connect with Sagicc and click "Next".

 

 

Then, Facebook will indicate that Sagicc requires certain permissions to manage your pages and perform certain actions, such as sending or reading messages. Sagicc will need all the permissions it requests; otherwise, it will not be able to access the required information. Click "Okay" to authorize Sagicc with all the requested permissions.

 

 

You will receive a confirmation indicating that Sagicc has successfully linked to your Facebook page. Click "Accept" to continue. The Facebook tab will automatically close, and you will be redirected to Sagicc.

 

 

Now, you will see that the information obtained from Facebook has been loaded into the Sagicc interface. You will see a list of the pages that the Facebook account manages, as well as other configuration options. Select the page you want to connect with Sagicc, and check or uncheck the following options:

  • Listen to comments on Facebook posts: Check this option, and Sagicc will capture and allow you to respond to all comments that your customers leave on the company's Facebook page posts.

  • Listen to messages received through Facebook Messenger: Check this option, and Sagicc will capture and allow you to respond to all messages that your customers send to the company's Facebook page through Facebook Messenger.

  • Listen to information captured through Facebook forms and ads: Check this option, and Sagicc will capture information from Facebook ads and forms.

 

The process of setting up a Facebook channel is the same for both incoming and outgoing routing.
